How WhatsApp is connected
MultiChats links each number as a device, exactly like WhatsApp Web: you scan a code with your phone and you're done. We don't use the official WhatsApp Business API, which requires Meta-approved, pay-per-message templates to start a conversation, and many small businesses would rather keep using their own number as it is.
It's worth knowing that Meta can restrict a number that sends messages in bulk. That's why MultiChats applies daily caps per number, pauses between messages, varied wording and an alert if three messages in a row go undelivered. At that pace, usage looks like a person typing on their phone.
What you see in the inbox
- Each number as its own WhatsApp screen, with its chats, photos and voice notes.
- Filters: awaiting reply, interested, thinking it over, gone quiet, not interested, customers.
- The agent's draft in every conversation, ready to send or edit.
- What works: reply rates by message, by number and by time of day.
- The health of each number: how many messages are delivered and read, with an automatic brake if something looks wrong.
And when someone says yes
The agent marks them as interested and, if you want, sends them your sign-up or payment link. Conversations that need a person (a call, a negotiation, a complaint) stop and land in your "needs a human" list.
Who it's for
Businesses that receive enquiries on WhatsApp and can't always answer them in time: service businesses, small sales teams, agencies running several numbers, estate agents, clinics, dealerships. If conversations sometimes sit unanswered for two days, that's the gap the agent closes.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my personal number?
You can, and you will see all your chats in the inbox, but we recommend a dedicated business number. You can also set a number to "view only" so the AI never touches it.
Does my phone have to stay on?
The phone needs to connect to the internet at least once every 14 days; it doesn't need to be next to you. The inbox runs on your computer or on one of our servers.
What happens if a number gets blocked?
We alert you straight away, that number stops sending and the others carry on. We work with limits so it doesn't happen, but we can't guarantee it: it's up to Meta.
Which language does it reply in?
In the language your customer writes in. Tell us how you write (British spelling, first names or formal tone) and the agent follows those rules.
Can I check its replies before they go out?
Yes. Draft mode is what we recommend for the first week: the agent writes, you press send. Once it sounds like you, switch that number to automatic.
