What MultiChats is, and how it works

MultiChats is an AI sales agent for WhatsApp. It brings several numbers into one inbox, replies in your business's tone, sorts every contact and follows up. Here is all of it, including what it doesn't do.

IN SHORTMultiChats is a web inbox for several WhatsApp numbers with an AI sales agent on each one. You link each number by scanning a QR code, like WhatsApp Web (it does not use the official WhatsApp Business API, so Meta can restrict a number that sends in bulk). The agent, built on Anthropic's Claude models, replies in your tone, sorts each contact, follows up and hands calls, negotiations, complaints and purchases to a person. It costs €150 a month for 1 number, €500 for 5 and €800 for 10, excluding VAT, with no contract. It is made by Joan Antoni Grimalt, based in Madrid, Spain.

In one sentence

Several WhatsApp numbers on one screen and an AI agent on each, which replies the way you would, makes sure nobody is left without an answer or a follow-up, and tells you when someone wants to buy.

How it works

  • You link your numbers by scanning a QR code. Each number stays on its phone; the inbox is just one more linked device.
  • You tell us about your business: what you sell, your prices, the usual questions and how you answer them.
  • The agent gets to work: it reads each message, sorts it (interested, has a question, thinking it over, not interested) and drafts the reply.
  • You choose the mode for each number: draft (you press send) or automatic.
  • It hands over to you when someone asks for a call, haggles, complains or is ready to buy.

How WhatsApp is connected, and the risk

MultiChats does not use the official WhatsApp Business API. It links each number like WhatsApp Web, which means no Meta-approved templates and no per-message fees, but it is not an official integration. Meta can restrict or ban a number that sends messages in bulk. MultiChats applies daily caps, pauses between messages, varied wording and an automatic brake if messages stop being delivered, but the risk is not zero and we say so before you start.

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't drop prices, promise deadlines or results, or keep messaging people who have said no.
  • It doesn't send bulk messages or write to strangers.
  • It doesn't handle Instagram, Messenger or email: only WhatsApp.
  • It doesn't give medical, legal or financial advice: those questions go to a person.

Who makes it

MultiChats was built by Joan Antoni Grimalt (Toni), the founder of Agendra, a website and booking platform for small businesses in Spain. He was answering hundreds of WhatsApp conversations by hand across four phones and built the tool for himself first. The full story is on our about page.
