Why it matters
Selling again to someone who already bought from you is easier than finding someone new. The problem is time: messaging three hundred people one by one never happens. The agent does it at a human pace, with varied wording, and, more importantly, it replies to those who answer, which is where the sales actually are.
Do it within the rules. In the UK, PECR generally requires prior consent for electronic marketing; the "soft opt-in" lets you message existing customers about similar products or services, as long as you gave them a chance to opt out when you collected their number and in every message since. The EU ePrivacy rules work in a similar way. Anyone who says "please don't message me" is recorded permanently and never contacted again. This is general information, not legal advice. For what to write, see WhatsApp sales message templates; for the wider picture, WhatsApp marketing.
Frequently asked questions
Is it legal to message past customers on WhatsApp?
Often, yes, but with conditions. Under PECR's soft opt-in you can message existing customers about similar products or services if they were offered an opt-out when you collected their details and in every message. Otherwise you need consent. This is general information, not legal advice.
What if someone asks not to be contacted?
The agent confirms politely, stops, and the number is flagged permanently so no other number of yours messages them either.
Can I upload a list I bought?
No. MultiChats isn't for messaging people who have never dealt with you: it's against the rules in the UK and the EU, and it's also the fastest way to get a number restricted by Meta.
How many messages a day does it send?
A handful per number, spread out with pauses and different wording, so usage looks like a person typing. We set the cap with you based on the age and health of each number.
